South Fremont High School will start a new driver education class on February 5th. There will be a mandatory parent/student meeting at 6:00 pm in the commons. To enroll in the course, a student must be 14.5 years of age and have an learner's permit. If you have any questions contact Roger Smith at rogers@sd215.net
Beginning Ceramics learned about Greek pottery aesthetics and patterns and practiced the sgraffito technique as well.
The home boys basketball game that was scheduled for today, Wednesday January 10th, has been canceled because of the weather.
SENDING SOUTH FREMONT STUDENTS HOME (1/10/24). Due to road conditions and visibility, we are sending the buses home early. The Parker and Teton Elementary buses will load at 1:30. Henry's Fork Elementary and South Fremont Junior High will release at 1:45. South Fremont High School will release at 2:00. Be safe!

Everyone have a great Christmas Holiday and a wonderful Newyear.
What a wonderful day. We started off with student council cooking and serving breakfast for the entire student body and the Jazz Band playing Christmas music. We ended the day with some of our students sharing their many talents. We are so grateful for the student council and their advisor, Katie Dodge, for planning all the many student activities for today.
Beginning Ceramics made their version of cultural mask, and they came out awesome!!

Ms. Sudweeks' Graphic design class was learning all about the pen tool, shape builder tool, symbols, gradients and effects and several other tools and recreated cartoon animals, made minions, and created a mountain landscape. This was all in preparation to the project they are completing this week where they are turning themselves into a cartoon on illustrator.
SFHS chapter of Business Professionals of America competed at BYU I this past Friday at the 2024 Regional 9 Regional Leadership Conference and walked away with quite a lot of state qualifiers as shown in the numbers:
Qualified in 23 events
9- qualified in 2 events
21- qualified in 1 event
20-objective event qualifiers
5- individual event qualifiers
6-team event qualifiers.
2- very close qualifiers (team events 3rd place)
22-diplomat torch recipients
30 out of 37- state qualifiers
12-1st place winners

3-4th place winners
Ms. Davis' Plant Science class spent some lab time last week making three different custom mixes for growing mediums and testing the water holding capacity of each of those samples to determine what soil amendments work better to grow our plants!
