Ms. Davis’ Animal Science class has been learning about meat processing! Today they visited Matt’s Custom Meats here in St. Anthony and saw first hand some of the breakdown from carcass to wholesale cuts to retail cuts. Thanks to the Froehlichs for letting us come and see the process first hand!





Ms. Davis’ Vet Science class has been studying animal behavior and training. This week they did one day of bringing their own dogs to class and working on teaching them a trick and then today they visited Idaho Elite K-9 in Rigby and got a crash course on how drug detection dogs are trained!

South Fremont High School Juniors and Seniors recently toured Paul Mitchell the School, Rexburg and Evans Hairstyling College. Thank you to both schools for having us.


South Fremont HS Juniors and Seniors recently attended the ISU Tech Expo with North Fremont HS. It was a great learning experience for our students.




Ms. Davis’ Large Animal Vet Science class took a field trip today to Upper Valley Vet to watch the process for trich testing bulls. They got to watch the measuring and collection, then were able to see the sperm quality under a microscope. Thanks Anderson’s and Dr. Shawcroft for letting us crash the party!

The South Fremont High School FCCLA chapter traveled to Boise this week to participate in the Idaho State Leadership Conference. We would like to congratulate Addi, Valeria and Jami for placing in their events and qualifying for Nationals.

Jami- Silver- Event - Public Policy Advocate
Nationals will be held in Washington DC this summer.

Movie Night Concert, March 5th, at South Fremont High School. Jr. High @ 6:00 PM and High School @ 7:30 PM.

The SFHS Zoology students got to visit the East Idaho Aquarium today! Students had hands on learning experiences with marine and freshwater animals. Students were able to identify animals from the Phylum Cnidaria (jellyfish, anemones, and coral) to Phylum Chordata (sharks, rays, snakes, iguanas, and more) based on characteristics they’ve learned in class!




SFHS's BPA students competed against 2,000+ students from around the state this week. Congratulations to: Tanner Curr for placing in the top 10 for: Lenox Operating System Fundamentals, Kyler Gould for placing in the top 10 for: Fundamentals of Web Design, Bridgette Benson for placing 4th in Health Insurance & Medical Billing, and Symorah Hinshaw and Bryn Robbins for placing 3rd in User Experience Design Team.
